What is the difference between a RJ-45 & RJ-47?

What is the difference between RJ-45 and RJ-47 connectors? Could you explain their specific uses, technical specifications, and any advantages or disadvantages of each?

RJ45 is Telephone Wire

RJ47 is Ethernet Wire, but some research says this is wireless?

Wireless doesn't actually use a wire, but the connector is still an Ethernet on the NIC.

In computer terms RJ45 is used to plug up your 56K modem while RJ47 plugs up your broadband such as DSL.

Hope this helps 🙂

1.Short for Registered Jack-45, an eight-wire connector used commonly to connect computers onto a local-area networks (LAN), especially Ethernets. RJ-45 connectors look similar to the ubiquitous RJ-11 connectors used for connecting telephone equipment, but they are somewhat wider

  1. This are other connectors i know but Rj47 i'm not familiar with that sorry

    RJ9 | RJ11 | RJ12 | RJ14 | RJ21 | RJ25 | RJ45 | RJ48 | RJ50 | RJ61
