2points how could an error during transcription affect the protein that is produced?

How can errors that occur during transcription impact the protein that is ultimately produced? Specifically, what are two ways in which these transcription errors might affect the resulting mRNA and, consequently, the protein synthesis process?

The protein would be made of wrong nuclei acids. Explanation: *Transcription :This is the synthesis of RNA under the direction of DNA*. When there is a mutation in the RNA transcript formed, it is known as *error in transcription*and the protein produced due to error in transcription wI'll be made of wrong nucleic acids(RNA or DNA) . Therefore, when there is an error during transcription, the protein produced would be made of wrong nucleic acids.

An error during transcription could produce a shorter protein or induce changes in the protein's sequence.Explanation: Transcription is the process of single-stranded RNA synthesis from a DNA template (gene). During this process, RNA polymerase reads the DNA template and synthetize RNA, keeping the sequence. The RNA sequence will be reading later by ribosomes and protein will be produced. An error in transcription could produce changes in codons that are sequences of 3 nucleotides that determine  aminoacids of the protein, and that would change protein folding and inactive it. Another possible result would be that  error in transcription produce a premature stop codon that cause a shorter inactive protein.

The correct answer is option B. Explanation:Transcription refers to a phenomenon, which occurs in the nucleus of a cell that comprises the production of messenger RNA from a DNA molecule. The phenomenon is mediated with the help of an enzyme RNA polymerase. The mRNA or messenger RNA carries genetic information or the genetic codes, which is further utilized in the production of proteins via the process of translation.  The genetic information is aligned in the form of codons that predicts the amino acids, and thus predicts the protein, which will be produced. Thus, an error at the time of transcription signifies a variation in base pairs, which further means a change in the codons, and subsequently different amino acids that would eventually lead to a formation of an incorrect protein.

Answer;B. The Protein would be made of the wrong amino acidsExplanation;Transcription is a process that takes place in the nucleus of a cell, which involves synthesis of messenger RNA from a molecule of DNA. The process is catalyzed by the enzyme RNA polymerase.Messenger RNA or mRNA carries the genetic codes or the genetic information that is used to manufacture proteins through translation. This genetic information is organized in codons which determines the amino acids and thus determines the protein that will be synthesized. Therefore, an error during transcription means a change in base pairs which means a change in the codons, and consequently a different amino acids which would then result to a different form of protein that is made from the wrong amino acids.
