Where do I buy a wedding cake in Sims 3 Generations?

The wedding cake is under the Entertainment section and under the parties column

I too spent a lot of time looking for it in party supplies while on a community lot. It’s only available on a residential lot apparently!

I thought I saw on a menu that I could go to another location (like a community lot) to have a wedding, so I built a church and then when it came time to put the wedding items in place, I couldn’t find the cake either!

I heard you have to have the arch and the wedding ceremony at the same location as the cake for it to all work… but if you can’t put the cake on a community lot, then apparently you really can’t have a full wedding away from home, which ꜱᴜcκs. At least they sit down in seats if you set them up right now… that is a nice touch.

Why bother making weddings available on another lot at all if you can’t have the full experience there though? I tried changing the lot into a residential lot and placing the cake but when I changed it back the game deleted the cake, so that’s out.

Suffice to say – if the cake isn’t in the party menu where you expect it to be, it’s basically Electronic Arts’ rushing pretty empty but still expensive expansions out the door to their adoring public that don’t have another halfway good game to play instead.

Have patience, I have a feeling modders will be able to mess with this wedding stuff and perfect it now that a few objects are finally out for it to tweak.

I have been searching all through Buy Mode and I can't find the wedding cake! Where is it?

What I have done is that I bought the cake on my lot, put it on my table and dragged the cake in my inventory. When I went to the community lot to get married, I just dragged it on a table on the lot and got to enjoy my Sims cutting their wedding cake ?

It’s should be in the groceries shop. Your sim cannot prepare it.
