Why doesn’t an eagle get affected by the poison, after eating a poisonous snake?
What is the reason that eagles are unaffected by the poison of the snakes they consume? Is this phenomenon consistent across all carnivores that prey on poisonous animals?

Snakes are not poisonous, they are venomous. Poison is a toxin delivered by ingestion or inhalation. Venom is a toxin delivered by a bite or sting. Ingested venom is generally harmless as it must enter the bloodstream to cause harm. Therefore the eagle eating a venomous snake comes to no harm. Poisonous animals would of course afflect the consumer as ingestion is a method of poisoning.
NO, it is not safe to eat poisonous animals at all. (read above). Although venom is generally harmless if ingested, all it would take is a recent cut, say around the mouth as a entry point into the bloodstream and the person eating the envenomated flesh is now envenomated themselves.

Is the reason same for every carnivore who prey upon the poisonous fauna?
Because the snake venom acts by being injected into the bloodstream by the snakes fangs. The venom is a protein (or mixture of proteins) – which means when the snake is eaten the venom is digested and broken down just like any other protein.
Poisonous animals are different from venomous ones. Poisonous animals contain toxins which may not be digested and made harmless.

people eat both…i would eat both also, poisons/venoms are dangerous if injected into the bloodstream but i reas that they can easily be digested. so i wouldnt mind eating a snake and i would eat a tarantula only if it has been cooked over an open flame and fangs removed. old world tarantulas hav urticating hairs which cause allergic reactions in animals [puffy itchy rashs] so if the hairs were to hit my mouth or throat, i would swell and then suffocate.

Simple – snakes aren’t poisonous, they are venomous. Poison is dangerous when eaten, venom is only dangerous when injected into the bloodstream. You can eat a venomous animal, or even drink the venom itself, without coming to any harm.
Because venom is proteinaceous in structure and as such is digestible like any other protein that is eaten. This also explains why the snake can eat prey it has bitten. A snake is not immune to its own venom. If it accidentally bites itself while pursuing prey, it will die. But swallowing the venom does not cause any harm.

The acid in stomachs is so strong, very little poisons can do there.
