AMD vision vs intel core i3 or i5?
Which processor is better for my needs: AMD or Intel's Core i3 or i5? I am looking for a laptop primarily for productivity tasks such as running applications, web browsing, and multitasking.

i3 or i5, hands down. Intel is maiming AMD in the mobile space.
Lyner, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, then just don’t post. The i3 is NOT a single core CPU, period.
AMD makes 4 different “Vision” processors. Like the intel i3 and i5, they all have graphics processors built in. That’s where the AMD Vision compares with the intel i3. The intel i5 is comparable to the AMD Vision Ultimate. They both boost clock speed, and add the ability to shut down some of the processor cores, thus slowing processing time, battery life, and heat. Intel’s processors use a dual core design with each core being able to run 2 tasks simultaneously. AMD’s Premium and Ultimate use three cores. and have the addition of virus analysis. Intel makes the “i7” and AMD makes their “Vision Black”. Both aimed at high-end PC applications. So in conclusion.. The AMD will give you the same performance and longer battery life than the comparable intel, and cost about $100.00 or more less. So if it’s for a high-end server. Intel still rules with their Xeon processors. Otherwise.. go for AMD.

Not sure about vision. But i3 is a single core and i5 is dual with turbo boost. Except 750 one is quad core…..I think
Also Intel I series are the new ones.
Get i5 one!]
Vomit like i said I THINK and you dont have the right to tell me not to post so hush up
Plus i gave him an advice to get i5 so stfu!
You can improve your vision just by practicing the correct approach for ten minutes a day.
You can check this technique: http://improvevision.toptips.org/
Basically what glasses do is bolt the eyes into their refractive state and in order to transparent your lenses you need to keep up the poor vision that the lenses are intended to correct.
This program demonstrates to you a proved method to improve your vision naturally, permanently and with complete results.
With what you want to do, the processor won’t hold you back. You can upgrade the graphics. Since that is not the slimline version you don’t need to use a low profile card. But be forewarned, HP usually uses very cheap power supplies. Many Pavillions come with a basic 250W power supply, and that can’t be used if you upgrade the graphics. An ATI Radeon 4650 or 4670 is a low cost graphics card that would do what you wanted. I have a 4650 in a second desktop, and it can play almost any games out there, although not at highest settings. It does not require a 6 pin power connector, it receives it’s power from the motherboard. I’ve never had a problem with movies or graphics with it. You’ll receive a lot of hits telling you to get a real expensive graphics card, but for what you want to do it isn’t necessary. I like the AMD desktop CPUs. That quad core can keep up with an i5. The only problem I’ve run into with HP is motherboards. I had to replace mine. Do some research and you will find that is a very common problem with HPs.

I’d go with the Core i5 more power. Also make sure your laptop comes with a good amount of DDR3 RAM for multi-tasking (3GB+)
