A quick Google search indicates that ZAX to Lambda Chi Alpha means: Zeugma Adelphotetos Christianikes or Bond of Christian Brotherhood.
However, official Lambda Chi Alpha publications state that the meaning of the initials is revealed only during the Initiation Ritual.
All fraternity rituals are kept secret. Lambda Chi Alpha is not the only fraternity that has maintained its rituals in secrecy; in fact, all fraternities generally do so.
ZAX Sessions are ritual education or program sessions outside the formal ceremonies that enhance the understanding of Lambda Chi Alpha principles and help translate our ideals into actions.
Zeta is a term used to refer to individual chapters of Lambda Chi Alpha.
The Greek letters Lambda, Chi, and Alpha represent the name of the fraternity. In written work, it is preferred to either spell out Lambda Chi Alpha or use the English abbreviation LCA. Greek letters are a graphical representation used primarily on logos, letterhead, and T-shirts.
For an accurate interpretation of the terms used within Lambda Chi Alpha, see Lambdachi.org's Glossary of Terms.
