Can bugs hear soundd?
Can insects hear sound? If so, what mechanisms do they use to detect sound frequencies, and how does this ability compare to the hearing capabilities of other animals?

Depends on what you mean with ‘hear’. Most of them can react to vibrations which is sound in a sense. Cicadas and crickets sing to attract mates, so some of them do hear.
Yes, most insects can hear. Insects use sounds to communicate with other insects, and to move around their environment. Some listen to the sounds of predators to avoid being eaten. Insects hear by collecting the vibrations in certain organs.
Yes…Depends on which bugs ur talking about…Some dont hear but rather use their antennas
when animals make sounds, those are their mating calls. There would be no point to make them if the other insects could not hear it.
i’m sure that some of them can, but of course not all. some of them probably don’t really “hear” but more pick up the sound waves and “hear”/feel the vibrations.
maybe.
