can u make easy bake oven mixes in the microwave?
I used to have an Easy-Bake Oven, but I got rid of it. Now, whenever I want to make a cake, I don't want to bake a large one that requires a traditional oven. I'm wondering if I can buy a few Easy-Bake Oven mixes and prepare them in the microwave instead. Is that possible?

I have OFFICIALLY done it and i can say that it was DELICIOUS!!!!
Just follow the instructions (to make a cake, not a cookie) which is to lightly mist a microwaveable cup with non stick cooking spray, pour the mix, add 3 teaspoons of water, stir. Microwave it for first 30 seconds, then 15, then another 15 (maybe if you would like, 12 or 11 seconds & the key is to open the door for a couple of seconds then type in the next number). The cake is done when you push your nail in and there’s no cake on it. I must warn you though, if you leave it or take your time eating it, it gets a bit tough. But doesn’t lose its yummy taste!

No, sorry the original oven relied on the heat of a 60 watt light bulb. Not at all the same power as a microwave.
Don’t even worry about that! =) You can buy regular cake mixes and make little mini cakes without using the whole box of cake mix. Then just save the rest for another time you want cake! Here’s an example recipe that you can kind of go by for how to do it, and you an substitute the sugar free mix for any other kind of course. Have fun!
The microwave works a little differently than the easy bake. I don’t think it will get brown enough but it should taste the same.

You could make a brownie or cake in a cup. =)
Microwave Brownie in a Mug (single serving) Recipe
2 Tbs vegetable oil
2 Tbs water
Few drops vanilla extract
A dash salt
3 Tbs granulated sugar
2 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tbs all purpose flour
INSTRUCTIONS
In a 12 oz coffee mug, mix water, oil, salt, vanilla, if using. Whisk well.
Add cocoa powder, whisk well. Add sugar, whisk well. Add flour, whisk well.
Microwave for 60-75 seconds: 60 seconds for a molten bottom, 75 for uniformly done. I normally choose 60.
Enjoy with a spoon and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Careful, brownie will be hot.
