What is a streak-faced bay horse?
Hi members,
I have a question about what a streak-faced bay horse is. Could someone please provide a detailed explanation? I'm particularly interested in understanding the characteristics that define this type of horse. Thanks in advance!

A bay is defined as a red horse with black points (mane, tail, lower legs, and eartips). A streak is a long, narrow mark, smear, band of color, or the like. Therefore, if a bay is referred to as streak-faced, this means that it has facial markings, which can be a blaze or stripe.
Each horse face marking is wholly unique to the individual horse. The blaze is probably the most common face marking, as it is found on horses of every breed and color. It is a broad white stripe down the middle of a horse's face, generally starting at the forehead and running all the way to the nose or mouth.
A stripe is similar to a blaze in that it runs down the center of the face, but it is much thinner—almost a line.
Horses are large, strong animals. They can be quite hardy and enjoyable companions, but this is not without regular attention. Are you planning to have one? Check out some tips on how to take care of a horse at Animal-world.com.
Humans are not the only ones who can contract herpes, as a number of horses in Wisconsin have tested positive for the disease, and one had to be euthanized. Find out more at New York Daily News.
