Find the number of automobiles whose total mass is the same as 1.0 mole of blueberries.?

What is the number of automobiles that have a total mass equivalent to 1.0 mole of blueberries? Given that the mass of an average blueberry is 0.75 grams and the mass of an automobile is 2.0 x 10^3 kilograms, please calculate the number of automobiles needed to match the total mass of 1.0 mole of blueberries.

(1) The first step is to figure out how many grams a mole of blueberries weighs. One mole of anything is 6.022 X 10^23, so multiply this number by the mass of an average blueberry:

0.75 g X 6.02214×10^23 = 4.516605 X 10^23 g of blueberries per mole

(2) The second step is to convert the mass of an automobile, 2.0 X 10^3 kg, into grams. Anytime you are working a chemistry problem the units have to be the same (grams of blueberries and grams of automobiles):

2.0 X 10^3 kg X 1000 = 2.0 X 10^6 g per automobile

(3) The third step is to compare the mass of one mole of blueberries to the mass of an automobile. We do this by dividing the mass of blueberries by the mass of an automobile (which cancels out the grams, leaving you with automobiles as the final unit) :

(4.5165 X 10^23g) / (2.0 X 10^6 g per automobile) = 225,830,250,000,000,030 automobiles

If you need this answer in scientific notation, it would be:

2.25825 X 10^17 automobiles

Hope this helped. ?
