has anyone ever read “espuma y nada mas”? im having a hard time undertanding it for my spanish class.
I'm having difficulty understanding the story "Espuma y nada más." If anyone has read it, could you please provide a link to an English version, or perhaps offer a brief summary or some insights about its themes? Your help would be greatly appreciated for my Spanish class.

The story's narrator is a secret revolutionary barber. He is talking about that one day Captain Torres enter his store and took off all his weapons and sat on a chair. The Captian was known for punishing and executing rebels and revolutionaries, and for this the barber hated him. The Captain tells the barber to shave his 4-day-old beard.
As the barber begins to cover the man with foam, the captain tells him about 14 rebels that they had recently caught and that they would be punished severly that afternoon. As he begins to shave the man's beard, the barber ponders on whether or not he should kill the captain. He sure had the element of surprise. But then he thinks against this because he was not a murderer. He was not going to fill his hands with blood, just foam and nothing more (hence the name of the story).
The barber finishes shaving the captain. The captain takes all his weapons and puts them on. While leaving the store he tells the barber: "They told me that you would kill me. I gave her to prove it. But killing is not easy. I know why I tell you this." And he left.
