dang, you took TWO pills? I’m surprised you’re not still asleep. I hate Benadryl. Taking one pill knocks me out for the day. Of course my allergies don’t bother me…lol. If it’s allergies you’re concerned about, try Alavert, or Claritin. They don’t cause the drowsiness that Benadryl does. Avoid anything that says “antihistamine” as that’s an ingredient that will conk you out. You should get a good night’s sleep and you may be groggy in the morning, and have a headache. Just drink lots of water tomorrow to help flush it out of your system.

Benadryl lasts about 4-6 hours(i have a bottle sittin in front of me), unless it’s a 12 hour one. I take one at a time, it helps a little. I take two and I am tired, but it really helps the symptoms. I have had to take it and function, but try to avoid doing that. I use it as a sleep aid now. Not usually affected the next morning as it wears off long before I get up.

For the pill- there is no average response. Some women don’t miss a beat and ovulate and have normal cycles off the bat, some women have longer cycles at firs with possibly a few anovulatory cycles, and others what the have medical help to being ovulating again. 4-6 hours for regular benedryl. I find it takes a little longer to get out of my system if I go right to sleep though. Usualy 6-8 hours (usually closer to the 6 range though). I’m always a little extra groggy after awaking from a benedryl coma, but after 15-20 min, its like any other morning.

When I take it to sleep I wake up groggy as crap and it doesnt wear off quick in the morning. I hate it and only use it in extreme circumstances. I keep it around for the rare occasion I get an anxiety attack. I’ve taken 4 and felt normal cause I was that anxious but if I take it just to sleep, one wipes me out.
