how would you convert 1.005 J/(g*K) into J/(kg* C)?
How would you convert 1.005 J/(g·K) into J/(kg·°C)? I am interested in understanding the steps involved in the conversion process, as well as any relevant relationships between the units of joules, grams, kilograms, and degrees Celsius that may aid in the calculation. Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

A degree increase in Kelvins also corresponds to a degree increase in Celsius. Thus, converting from J/(gK) to J/(g°C) only requires to change the units to get:
1.005 J/(gK) = 1.005 J/(g°C).
Then, since 1 kg = 1000 g, we see that:
1.005 J/(g°C) = (1000 g)/(1 kg) (1.005 J)/(g°C) = 1005 J/(g°C).
I hope this helps!
As long as 1.005 J/g-K is a value for heat capacity, and not a value for specific entropy...all you need to do is re-write it with C in place of the K.
1.005 J/g-C
And, as a trivial step, because you desire to swap mass units in the denominator...all you need to do is multiply the number by 1000...because there are 1000 grams per kilogram. Multiply by this conversion factor (multiply by "one" in a fancy way), and the denominator grams cancel and kilograms replace them.
Hence:
1005 J/kg-C
You see, Celsius and Kelvin by definition have the same SIZE OF THE DEGREES.
When we are dealing with a quantity that we intend to multiply with temperature DIFFERENCE, the temperature difference in Celsius is exactly the same as the temperature difference in Kelvin.
Absolute temperatures, not so much. The zero-points are dissimilar. That is why you need to be absolutely sure that this has nothing to do with entropy. If you don't yet know what entropy is, this is likely the case.

Use converstion factors.
1K=1C
1K/1C=1
1000g=1kg
1000g/1kg=1
1.005J/kgK 1K/1C 1000g/1kg = 1005J/kgC
Cheers.
