The answer is:b) He introduces a major conflict.In Act 1 scene 2, Claudius anounces that he has married the widow of his late brother the King Hamlet, this is a major conflict in the play, because he then eventually murders the his brothers widow, now his wife, and that eventually leads to the his own death.
