PAST.Explanation:A verb has four principal parts or basic forms that are used to form the different verbal tenses, here is a brief explanation of these parts:The present (or infinitive) part is used to express the present and the future time. I walk and I will walk. As you can see, in the future tense, it does use an auxiliary: will.The present participle forms the progressive forms of the present, the past and the future: I am talking, I was talking, I will be talking, etc. In all forms, this part uses the auxiliary verb be or will.The past participle forms the perfect tenses: the present perfect, the past perfect, and the future perfect (I have talked, I had talked, I will have talked). Thus, this part uses auxiliaries: have and will.The past part is used to express the past tense only, and it is the only part that does not use auxiliary. answer: buck is a dog living a charmed life on the estate of judge miller, during the time of the klondike gold rush in 1897. he is the king of all the animals on the estate and as such enjoys special privileges, such as the run of the estate and the admirable position of being the judge's favorite dog. this all ends the day he accompanies manuel on a walk through the orchard to a flag station, where manuel sells him to a stranger. manuel sells buck, because he has gambling debts he needs to pay and a family to support. this one act changes buck's life irrevocably. it is the catalyst for the rest of the story about buck and his transformation from domestic pet to wild animal.explanation: read thoughroly ! and u will find your answer and the mean time i will be keeping my eye on you !
