is marijuana a stimulant ?or depressant?

Why does marijuana sometimes seem to act like a stimulant, causing your heart to race and invoking feelings of anxiety and paranoia, while other times it has a calming effect, making you feel relaxed and sleepy like a depressant? Is marijuana classified as a depressant or a stimulant?

It can be either depending on the psychological make-up of the user.

The effects of Cannabis (Marijuana) range from getting pleasantly stoned to getting unpleasantly fearful and paranoid.

One user’s medicine can be another’s poison.

Some just feel more relaxed while others slump in a

in a corner giggling inanely at anything and anyone.

Less appealing side effects include hallucinations,

anxiety and depression.

In Cannabis, the main active ingredient is tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, THC).

Marijuana acts as all of the above, a depressant, a stimulant, and a hallucinogen.

Actually its neither, It falls into its own category. Because it is neither a stimulant or depressant.

Cannabis: although considered a mild hallucinogen, marijuana falls into its own category: cannabis(cannabis sativa). It is the most commonly abused cannabis prduct and grows in almost all parts of the work. Cannabis consists of Maijuana, hashish and hashish oil.

it is a depressant…the reason why it does that is because there are two different kinds and it sativa and indica one can give you energy and the other can leave you mellowed out…most weeds are a combination of the two like 50/50 or 60/40 or 100% of either
