All of the statements that are true of parenthetical  citation. There are certain rules which are to be followed in citations. Punctuation in citations follow three important rules in MLA format: -The quotation has to be enclosed within double inverted commas. -The name of the author and exact page citation has to be noted after the quotation marks. -After the parenthetical citation, punctuation marks like commas, periods and semicolons are added. If question marks, exclamation marks or full stop is a part of quoted line then they should also be enclosed within the quotation marks. If not, then after the parenthetical citation.

C- The proper use of a citation format such as MLA can help you avoid plagiarism. Parenthetical citations within the text of your paper let your reader know when you've used information from another source. The parenthetical citation corresponds to a source listed on your works cited page.

The correct answer is A. Brief in-text citations connected to a works cited page Explanation:MLA stands for Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing and consist on a manual with guidelines for edition and publishing of documents with an academic style, according to this manual when using other sources whether this occurs as direct citations or paraphrasing, information about the author should be provided, in the case of in-text citations the last name of the author, date of publication, and in some cases page is included before or after being cited in a brief citation, however, all the information related to the source should be included at the end of the document in a reference list, which is a list of all the works cited or used during the text, in this list wider information of the source is provided such as the title of the source, where was it publish, among other. Thus, according to MLA citation information about source should be included through brief in text-citation (last name of author and date) and a list of all the sources with the complete information of the source.

The correct answer is C. A parenthetical citation must be connected to a related entry in the Works Cited page.In a paper that follows MLA format, a Works Cited page must appear at the end of the paper. The Works Cited page lists the complete source information for every reference used throughout the paper. Throughout the paper, parenthetical citations are used to cite material. These parenthetical citations are brief citations that connect to the work's given entry in the Works Cited page.Based on this information:-- Answer A is incorrect, as parenthetical citations are used throughout the paper and the Works Cited page appears at the end.-- Answer B is incorrect, as papers following MLA format must have BOTH parenthetical ciations and a Works Cited page.-- Answer D is incorrect, as the Works Cited page gives MORE information about the source. Therefore, only Answer C is correct. The parenthetical citation used in the body of the paper must be connected to a related entry in the Works Cited page.
