What does it mean if someone says they are “precious cargo”?

What does it mean when someone says they are "precious cargo"? Can you explain? 😊

The other two answers aren't necessarily correct. Precious cargo is just something that is considered important and vital to keep safe. Like if a life saving drug was being shipped across sea, that would be considered precious cargo.

Moms and Dads say it a lot when their daughters go on dates with guys. They say "drive safe, you have precious cargo", or a guy will say about his girlfriend "I have precious cargo I need to protect". Basically it is saying they need to keep you safe because you're very important to someone.

It is actually a rather cute thing to be said 🙂

That's generally said as "I'm carrying precious cargo," meaning the woman is pregnant. It's not "I'm precious cargo."

IT MEANS THAT KNOW THAT THEY ARE SPECIAL, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ONE ELSE ON EARTH IS 😊
